Fake News-trip from Lisbon Braga is not unheard of, they have already toured Portugal on a skateboard

Exclusive to the National Skate Site

We even reported “unprecedented” news, with so-called “professional” skaters, when at the moment there were only 3 Portuguese skaters who became famous outside of the country. They were:

1st Ricardo Fonseca 2nd Thaynan Costa 3rd Gustavo Ribeiro

In the past, Luís Paulo (one of the greatest, if not the greatest legend of Portuguese skateboarding), with Diogo Beja (at the time presenter of My Games, on SIC Radical), skated across Portugal from north to south, covering 941km in 18 days. News that was covered by SIC at the time, Luís Paulo, together with Diogo Beja, were invited and interviewed by Herman José, on his program Herman SIC, to talk about what this adventure was like.

Can check out in this link one of the few pieces of news available at the time.

The current trip, self-proclaimed “unprecedented”, is being sponsored by GMS Store Apple, to promote the opening of a new store, in Braga.

We also mentioned that in the interview, they claim that Portugal has all the conditions for skateboarding to evolve, when the reality is not that.
There is less and less support for Skateboarding Clubs\Associations, this is evidenced by the fact that Clubs such as: the Formiga Sk8 Clube which has a skateboarding circuit (Circuito de Street do Norte), as well as the Circuito Riba Texas, among other circuits and competitions that are on standby, due to this tremendous lack of support.
Due to the fact that the skate brands themselves turn to public figures, or influencers who did nothing to advance the sport, they are a kind of skateboarding vampires.

Not to mention that skateparks in Portugal are not ready to train the various categories in the Olympics, proof of this is that Portugal will not have a representative in the PARK modality. The construction of skateparks in the country is not directed towards anything specific in terms of the evolution of the various modalities, there is a great deficiency in the parameters for the construction of skateparks. Not to mention the fact that here in Portugal, those who have a license to build playgrounds can also build skateparks, which ends up delaying skateboarding a lot, because they are individuals who know nothing about the subject, but arrive at local authorities with licenses and are seen as “legitimate”.

We just have to say that there is an old saying:

“A liar is discovered quicker than a on leg man.”
It’s 2019, they still haven’t realized that it’s not by disrespecting\hiding the work of others that you get somewhere.
